With nine nominations, Amazon Prime Video scores big at the Golden Globe Awards 2021

Mumbai: Receiving a total of nine nominations, Amazon Prime Video has scored big at the 78th Golden Globe Awards 2021. Amazon Prime Video’s Sound of Metal, One Night in Miami, The Boys Season 2, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Hunters, and Small Axe have been nominated in the following categories:

  • Best Actor in a Drama – Riz Ahmed – Sound of Metal 
  • Best Director – Regina King – One Night in Miami (Scene pictured above)
  • Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture – Leslie Odom Jr. –  One Night in Miami
  • Best Picture (Musical/Comedy) – Borat Subsequent Moviefilm
  • Best Actress – Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy – Maria Bakalova – Borat Subsequent Moviefilm
  • Best Actor – Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy – Sacha Baron Cohen – Borat Subsequent Moviefilm
  • Best Song Motion Picture – Speak Now – One Night in Miami
  • Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television – Small Axe 
  • Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama- Al Pacino – Hunters 

This is the first time that the shows and movies premiering on streaming services have been nominated for the Golden Globe. The award will be presented on February 28, 2021.
