Netflix is will enable non-subscribers to stream for free for two days as part of the streaming giant’s innovative ways of promotion. Dubbed StreamFest, the event facilitates non-subscribers to watch Netflix’s entire library without a subscription. The StreamFest will begin on December 4.
This is after its recent paywall-free promotion for TV shows, such as Bard of Blood.
The development, amid reports Netflix’s free trial option will end soon, is part of its promotional plan to attract new users.
Netflix COO Greg Peters said during the company’s Q3 earning calls that two-day free trial is only limited to India as of now.
According to Peters, giving every person in a huge country like India the option to watch Netflix free for a weekend will be a great way to attract new subscribers. He hopes that the promotional offer will leave an impression on new users.
As of now, there is no confirmation as to whether the streamer will extend a similar offer in other parts of the world.
